Fresh jute burlap fabrics may have a mild odor. To remove any undesired odors, the most effective method is to air out the burlap (preferably in sunlight) prior to use.

This burlap fabric ships neatly folded, which may cause some creases. Any wrinkles or creases can be ironed out using an iron on low and using a pressing cloth.
